ECO-RECYCLE Hosts Seminar by the International Center for Research and Education on Mineral and Energy Resources of Akita University
On July 10, 2019, as part of a short-term study program run by the International Center for Research and Education on Mineral and Energy Resources of Akita University, ECO-RECYCLE CO., LTD. (Odate City, Akita Prefecture) hosted a plant tour for international students majoring in resource sciences.
This short-term study program has been run by Akita University since 2011, targeting students from colleges with which it has an international exchange agreement, in order to contribute to harmonious resource development in resource-rich countries.
In the latest round, a total of 18 students from eight countries—Indonesia, Mongolia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, Botswana, Kazakhstan, and Serbia—visited our company and deepened their understanding of the recycling structure for home appliances and small electronic devices in Japan, as well as actual disassembly/sorting operations.
The DOWA Group highly values these communication opportunities to help as many people as possible learn about the structure needed to support a recycling-oriented society and the Group’s environmental management and recycling business.
